Geographically, Gauradaha Municipality is in the eastern Terai region of Nepal. It is located in Jhapa district of Province 1. It was established in 2072 BS, then the municipality was merged with Baigundhara Rural Municipality to form current status of Gauradaha Municipality. The municipality is bordered by Kamal Rural Municipality in the east, Ratuwamai Municipality of Morang Districtr in the west, Kamal Rural Municipality in the north and Gauriganj Rural Municipality in the south. It has an area of 149.83 sq.km.
