Madi Municipality is located in Sankhuwasabha district of Province 1. It was established in 2071 BS. Madi Mulkharka, Madi Rambeni, Mawadin VDC’s were merged to form Madi Municipality. 42.76% of municipal land is forest, while 50.72% land is cultivated. Ram Mandir in the municipality is the major tourist attraction. It is bordered by Terhathum district in the east, Chainpur Municipality in the west and north and Dharmadevi Municipality in the south.
